What is NextGenFOG?

Welcome to NextGenFOG, a dedicated segment of the International Consortium for Freezing of Gait (ICFOG), where we shine a spotlight on the early-career researchers who are shaping the future of Freezing of Gait (FOG) science.

Event Details & Registration

We invite you to register for our first virtual NextGenFOG Symposium, which will be held on June 3, 2026 from 2-4 PM EDT. This event will showcase emerging research from early-career researchers advancing our understanding of FOG. Following registration, you will receive a confirmation email with details on how to join.

What to Expect

The symposium will feature ten outstanding abstracts selected from institutions worldwide. Presentations will span a diverse range of topics, including wearable neuromodulation, cueing strategies, neural mechanisms, biomechanics, patient-reported outcomes, free-living mobility, turning, emotional and environmental influences, and metabolomics.

Presentation format:
Each presentation is allotted 8 minutes, followed by 2 minutes for questions.
